Medical Disclaimer
Last updated October 5, 2026
CuraJournals uses artificial intelligence to summarize medical papers indexed in PubMed and Europe PMC, and links each summary to its source. Everything in the app — article summaries, narrative briefings, audio briefings, and answers from the Ask feature — is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Not medical advice
CuraJournals does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Nothing in the app creates a clinician–patient relationship, and nothing in it is a substitute for the professional judgment of a qualified clinician who has examined a specific patient. Do not use CuraJournals as the basis for any treatment decision.
AI-generated content can be wrong
Summaries and briefings are generated by AI from the underlying articles. AI systems can misread, omit, or misstate findings — including doses, thresholds, effect sizes, and contraindications. Every summary in CuraJournals links to its primary source (PubMed or Europe PMC, and the publisher where available). Always verify anything you intend to act on against the original publication.
Currency of information
Medical knowledge changes quickly. A summary that was faithful to its source may still describe evidence that has since been superseded, corrected, or retracted. Publication in a journal does not make a finding correct, and inclusion in CuraJournals is not an endorsement. Records are snapshots taken when your digest was built and may not reflect later corrections, retractions or updates; always check the source record.
Not for emergencies
CuraJournals is not designed for, and must never be used in, medical emergencies or time-critical clinical decisions.
Sources and attribution
Article records are retrieved from PubMed through the NCBI E-utilities and from Europe PMC through its public API, subject to the NCBI Disclaimer and Copyright notice. Data courtesy of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and Europe PMC (EMBL-EBI). CuraJournals is not affiliated with or endorsed by NLM, NIH, HHS or EMBL-EBI. PubMed is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Those services provide the records without warranty and do not endorse any product that uses them; abstracts and article text remain the copyright of their publishers and authors. Inclusion of a record in CuraJournals means only that it matched your filters — it is not a statement about the record's quality, and not every record indexed in these databases is peer-reviewed.
Intended audience
CuraJournals is built for clinicians, researchers, and trainees who can critically appraise medical literature. If you are a patient, please discuss anything you read here with your own clinician rather than acting on it.
